The Ipanema beach is located in the rich part of the city and just like the Copacabana beach, it also offers all kinds of activities to its visitors. These beaches are great for travelers who enjoy urban beaches, nightlife, and meeting new people.
Lastly,Ilha Grande is a place that will certainly appeal to adventurous travelers. It is a small island located between Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo with lots of hiking trails, waterfalls, and secluded beaches. It is perfect if you want to explore a remote location and get away from the crowds of Rio.

Located in Salvador, the capital city of Bahia, Porto da Barra is one of the region’s most popular beaches. It manages to capture in its essence all the historical interest of the city (you can see the 16th-century forts from the beach) and the sunset is pretty great!
Around the beach, there are excellent restaurants and a very famous typical fish market. Salvador is a great option for travelers who like to visit historical cities while at the same time having at their disposal amenities such as nice hotels and restaurants.
On the other hand, if you are more into the natural wonders of the world, Bahia might also be of interest. Taipus de Fora, Caraiva, Ilha de Tinhare, and Praia do Espelho are all very similar and equally great beaches!
These are less crowded places near fishing villages that that at the same time are used to accommodate tourists and offer them a wide range of activities such as surf, snorkeling, and diving. None of them will let you down.
