The Hell Town
If you are curious to know what Hell looks like, then you can fly to the town of Hell in the state of Michigan, USA. There are hundreds of tourists that visit it each year to take proud pictures of themselves next to the “Welcome to Hell” boards.
The origin of the name is still unknown and confusing, but the citizens seem to be happy to carry the town’s unique image and protect it. Moreover, the warranty deeds are sold for $6.66 by the local souvenir shop for one square of land in Hell. You get it? The 666 must be the lucky number of Hell’s inhabitants.
A Chinese Austrian Town
China is known for creating skilled replicas of anything ever, including towns! They believe that anyone could get a chance to travel without actually leaving the country, so they decided to rebuild Hallstatt, which is a beautiful village in Austria.
The first thing they built was the church, then they started creating the streets that look identical to the original ones. The irony in this whole thing is the real estate in the Chinese-Austrian town is actually more expensive than the original town.
In any case, you can see the whole world if you just traveled to China!
The last free city
There is a town in California that is populated by retirees, hobos, and homeless people called the Slab Town. All of them live in improvised shanties and trailers where you can’t even find electricity, water or addresses. But also, there is no rent or taxes.
All of these things may seem a little inconvenient, but every person who has ever visited that place found it to be very comfortable. They have probably found love and peace of mind, especially that they are far away from all the messed up things we see in the world. The citizens of this town call it “The last free city in America”.
