The highlands of Scotland always seem like a great destination for a vacation, but traveling there would need a lot more preparation than you expect. In July and August, the Scottish midge season is at its height, which means you will have to wear insect repellant and hide your skin all the time.
Or, you can just wait until September or October. That way you will be comfortable, safe from being bitten, and enjoying the trees that are changing their colors. It will be a lot more beautiful!
Seville
Spending summer vacation spoiling our eyes and souls with Andalucía’s charm and beauty could not get better. Except that, it does!
If you fly there in July or August, the temperature can be extremely overwhelming that may cause some serious health issues, which means you won’t get to experience the true joy of watching the passionate flamenco dancers and the jaw-dropping architecture with a pure Spanish spirit.
Instead, you can visit Seville during the fall or spring. That way you will have the best experience and one of the most memorable vacations in your life.
Marrakesh
Marrakesh is a glorious Moroccan city and one of the most popular destinations due to its unique culture, inspiring architecture, and beautiful nature. I mean, what’s better than riding horseback through Ourika Valley next to the waterfalls and rivers.
However, during summer it gets really, really hot. I remember visiting it in July and the heat almost got me out of breath. Plus, the tourists are unlimited in that city, you won’t even be able to see in front of you because of the crowd.
So, the fall and spring are the best seasons to enjoy the cool nights and the warm, beautiful days.
