Here is our first popular destination that has one of the most beautiful lakes located in the heart of a desert. Also, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon are very close to it, but these are not the main reasons why this destination is popular.

Recently, the volume of Lake Mead dropped due to the expanded drought, and now hikers can easily access the Old West Town of St. Thomas ruins that have been underwater for decades.

In addition to that, divers can now find the Boeing B-23 Superfortress bomber easily. Back in 1948, it crashed into the lake while being on a secret mission and it has been way too under the surface for anyone to reach it.

Founded in 1565, St. Augustine is America’s oldest city that was built by the Spanish explorers, which means it still has the touch of that exciting Spanish culture.

Spending your vacation in St. Augustine is going to give the feeling of actually being in Spain walking the streets of Barcelona, except everyone can actually speak English. Don’t forget to visit the Fountain of Youth, Fort Matanzas National Monument, and the old jail.
