Outdoor enthusiasts who are craving to live unique and unforgettable experiences in the arms of mother nature should go no further than the Alaskan Misty Fjords National Monument in Ketchikan.

This massive wilderness was designated as a national monument by president Jimmy Carter in 1978 and what’s more interesting is the fact that it’s home to two million acres of glacial valleys, crystalline lakes, saltwater canals, and steep lopes.

There is no doubt that New York is that city that has much to offer and you will definitely never get bored there!

However, there are many hidden sites and spots that most travelers ignore and one of which is the Alexander Hamilton U.S Customs House. The latter was built in 1907 and it is considered a beautiful example of Beaux Arts architecture.

The good news is that the access now is free to this landmark as it is transformed into the National Museum of the American Indian.

Ghost Ranch

In the past, the Ghost Ranch used to be a refuge for reclusive artist Georgia O’Keeffe. She used to visit that place very often and even considered it as her source of inspiration and creativity.

In fact, she even derived many of her paintings from the landscape and more particularly her famous works namely Kitchen Mesa and Pedernal. Hence, if you are looking for some peace of mind, tranquility, and inspiration, hesitate not to follow the steps of the Mother of American modernism and seek the Ghost Ranch retreat.

Unfortunately, this fountain doesn’t get all the attention and credit it really deserves. And that’s mostly because the Bean and Wrigley Field steal the show.

However, it is never too late and you can always add it to your bucket list! Dare to visit the massive and the breathtaking crown jewel of Grant Park with its 150-foot water streams, seahorse sculptures, and pink marble!
