When traveling, you should always remember to keep a photo of your passport in case something were to happen! Some travelers would take a snap of their passport and keep it on their phones, which is wrong and useless!
In fact, your smartphone is one of the items that are more likely to get lost or stolen. So, your smartphone is definitely not the safest place to keep a photo of your passport and that’s because it might get stolen and be useful to a bad guy.
Therefore, you should send yourself a photo of your passport via an email address that you can have access to from any computer and anywhere you are, say, a police station, hotel, embassy office, etc!
Another smart option would be uploading your passport photo to Dropbox, which is considered as a password-protected service.
Use Google’s Ok Maps Offline Mapping Option
You are probably aware that there are many options for offline maps but a simple one would be ‘’Ok maps’’. To use the latter, you just need to google it in the search bar of the Google Maps app and download the map in your smartphone.
However, keep in mind that the functionality of the app is a bit complicated and confusing. Therefore, you’d better use Google Maps as you always do and then all the information about places such as restaurants, streets, and attractions will be automatically saved for the area you have originally mapped!
