Life is too short to be spent in one place and as long as you are young and strong, try to make a difference and make your life worth living! It seems that the only way you can do this is by daring to step out of your safe bubble and explore the big world!
Traveling is with no doubting the best way to learn about yourself and the world, meet new friends, and discover new cultures! However, while all this may seem extremely exciting, the traveling process is definitely not, especially if you are willing to take an airplane!
In fact, no one can deny that air travel can be quite stressful, including, the air travel booking, the packing, the airport, and the flight itself! So, if you think that finding the right flight seat is all you need to make your long-haul flight more comfortable and less stressful, then, you might be putting your comfort at great risk!
Instead of learning what you shouldn’t do in an airplane, you’d better also learn about what you actually should do when airborne!
Sanitize Your Area
No intention to scare you but airplanes are gross! In fact, tray tables alone are found to have an average of 2,155 of germs per square inch, estimated some microbiologists. And guess what?
That’s not everything as there are many other nasty germs and bacteria lurking in the plane’s bathroom. Therefore, it could be wise if you pack some sanitizing wipes and use them to clean your tray table, armrests, seatback TV, seatbelt latch, and remote control!
In brief, make sure you sanitize every hard surface you touch during your flight! No worries, no one will think that you are a neat freak!
Position Your VENT
If you have traveled by plane before, then, you know well how tight is the flight cabin and how high are your chances to catch a contagious disease from your fellow passengers!
To save yourself and avoid getting sick, don’t hesitate to use the air vent above your head in order to blow the germs away! Make sure you set the vent to low or medium and then position it in front of your head until you feel the airflow on your lap!
Count The Row Until The Exit
It’s important to be always prepared for the unexpected! For instance, no one would ever expect a plane crash and we wish that this won’t happen to anyone but when you take the time to mentally prepare for one, you will automatically raise your chances of survival if it occurs!
So, counting the rows that stand between you and the exit is actually a very smart idea. So, in case of an energy, you can easily make your way out despite the darkness and the smoke that fill the flight cabin.
You might also need to know that 90 seconds is all the time you got to evacuate a burning airplane and of course you don’t want to waste your valuable time looking for the exit door!
Check For a Life Vest
Normally, the flight crew makes sure to check if each and every seat in the flight got a life vest on a daily basis! However, they definitely don’t do this between flights. So, to make sure you are safe and you have your own life vest, don’t hesitate to check under your seat!
Gather All Your In-Flight Essentials
Now, it’s time to focus on your in-flight comfort! To avoid constantly getting and down during the flight, make sure that you take out all your in-flight essentials from your personal bag before you stash it in the overhead compartment.
Put On Your Headphones
If you hate starting conversations with strangers and prefer to have a calm flight experience, then, the best way to tell your fellow passenger ‘’ no conversation please’’ is by putting your headphones and turning music on! This way, they won’t have the courage to speak to you even if they want to!
Chew Gum
This tip will not only help your sensitive ears feel better but will also give you a fresher breath! In fact, chewing gum before jumping into the plane will help with the air pressure changes, especially during take-off and landing!
Make sure your Seatback TV works
Long haul flight is quite unbearable! However, you can successfully survive them by keeping yourself entertained. For instance, setback TVs are on the plane for a reason.
So, once you get on the plane and reach your seat, make sure that your seatback tv works. Otherwise, speak to the flight attendant and ask them to change your seat so that you avoid getting bored or sadly watching your neighbor’s screen!
