With over 650 scientists and 185 specialists today, the Netherlands Cancer Institute located in Amsterdam has been combating cancer since 1973. The institute is one of the major cancer treatment facilities in the world and is the only cancer hospital in the Netherlands.

#6 – Spanish National Cancer Research Center (Spain)

Four-hundred health high-qualified professionals are working at the National Cancer Research Center in Spain to combat all types of cancer and conducting research to discover why and how cancer occurs in some people and not others.
There are 49 research groups specialized in three basic research programs in the center: Molecular oncology, cancer cellular biology, structural biology, and biocomputation, making the Spanish National Cancer Research Center one of the best-ranked cancer treatment and research facilities in the world.
While working on its therapy programs, pharmaceutical development, and supporting research programs, the center also counters inequality in professional opportunities between men and women, including those in the scientific research department in pain and in the world.
