While you have an idea now about the foods you are allowed to bring on a plane, it is wise to know some of the foods that you are NOT ALLOWED to take on board!
– Alcoholic Beverages
Whether you pack them in your checked bag or your carry-on bag, alcoholic beverages won’t make it through security! In fact, you can only take less potent mini bottles that don’t exceed 3.4 ounces while anything larger than this will be automatically checked!
– Jam and Jelly
If you are not ready to leave your favorite jam behind, then, make sure it is packed in your checked bag and secured in a plastic bag in order to avoid accidental breakage and spillage.
– Creamy cheeses over 3.4 ounces
You can bring a block of cheddar if you want on a plane but you definitely can’t take anything creamier such as brie, blue, and cream cheese in your carry-on bag, especially if it exceeds 3.4 ounces.
– Canned Foods
To avoid wasting too much time at the TSA checking point and stressing for nothing, you’d better leave all the canned foods at home but if you really need to take them with you, then, make sure you pack them in your checked bag.
Still, you can never know if you will be ever allowed to take them with you through your final destination!
Again remember to check the TSA official website for further information ! Have a safe trip!
