4. Store your suitcase with care
Where to store the suitcases? Keep in mind that it’s a must to store it in a dry place where it never sees the sunlight to protect the fading of its color. Put the smaller bags inside the larger ones and make sure all the zippers are closes. To help it maintain its shape, you can stuff the outside pockets with newspaper. It’s best to not pile stuff on top of the suitcase as well, and if you don’t travel often and you rarely use it, then you can cover it all with a large trash bag to prevent dust from settling in.
5. Use your suitcase warranty
Did you know that there is a lifetime warranty suitcase? Yes, and it’s the best one to purchase. Before you settle on a suitcase, make sure to ask if it’s covered under a warranty from the retailer or the manufacturer. The limited suitcase warranty is also great; some offer up to a 10-year! This is in case, something breaks in your bag, you can easily check the warranty and get it fixed without the need to pay a cent for it. However, make sure to read the fine print because some warranties have exceptions, like airline damage. In that case, you can file a claim with the airline itself, but do it before you leave the airport!
