4. Garden of The Gods, Colorado
Garden of The Gods is basically a biological melting pot with stunning red rock formations that meet rich green forests, so when you are there, you will truly feel like you are in the home of Gods! This marvelous place includes five different ecosystems: mountain shrub, prairie-grassland, cottonwood-willow, ponderosa pine, and pinyon-juniper. And the best part about it still being a hidden place is the entrance that is still free of charge. The owner of the land, Charles Perkins, had a last wish and it’s to keep the Garden open to the public forever.
5. Block Island, Rhode Island
It’s really shocking when you see such a gorgeous place not getting many visitors, but that’s actually a great thing for people like us to enjoy freely. The Block Island is truly a gorgeous, hidden place and it’s located close to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Perhaps, there are many touristic places around the region that leaves Block Island to remain almost crowd-free. There are many great hiking trails across that island you can add to your bucket list.
6. Brainerd Lakes, Minnesota
One of the least popular states in the USA is Minnesota, making The Brainerd Lakes one of the greatest hidden places to visit during your vacation. It’s actually living proof that Minnesota is not so bad, at least not for those who can handle the cold anyway. The Brainerd Lakes contain more than 500 beautiful lakes with countless miles of green forests and serene water to help anyone relax, forget about their stressful busy days, and allow them to connect with nature peacefully, especially that there won’t be many people around.
7. Thor’s Well
Have you ever heard of Thor’s Well? Exactly, it’s a hidden place that is also a magnificent treasure. This well is sitting on the edge of the Oregon Coast, and it’s basically a giant sinkhole that never fills, despite the powerful stream that always flows into it. Thor’s Well is a hole that was dug out by the waves, and it is one of the biggest natural wonders that you must see yourself to believe. But don’t dare to come very close or challenge yourself into a dangerous bet because it can be very risky.
