In fact, a deluxe room across hotel websites is nothing but a room with the same size as the standard room and looks exactly the same as the latter. The only difference is that the deluxe room can come with one additional feature, such as a coffeemaker or better bedsheets.

The word ‘’suite’’ is as misleading as the previous one on this list! It is a tricky word that is created to make you pay more money for a room that is not much different from the standard room.

A suite for some hotels can be multiple rooms with a separate kitchen and living room, while for others the options can vary dramatically in terms of size and layouts.

Hotels that market themselves as Candlewood suites, for instance, offer basic accommodation with multiple rooms and a fully equipped kitchen, while Suites at Comfort Suites, mean a bit larger room than the standard one with some deluxe touches thrown in and that’s all.
