This amazingly gorgeous landmark sits on the Pajarito Plateau in north-central Mexico. It is characterized by its fascinating geology and stunning landscape.
That’s not everything as this place can give visitors chance to trek Slot Canyon and witness some very old striated rocks and hoodoos that are believed to be formed as a result of volcanic eruptions for seven million years ago.

Driving one single hour north of MT. Rushmore is all the time needed to get to Bear Butte. We surely have no intention to disrespect the carved granite faces of our forefathers, but this laccolith is definitely Au Naturel!
And that’s not everything as it’s also considered holy and sacred to many Plains Indian Tribes who make sure to go on regular spiritual pilgrimages to the geological phenomenon
