Since its construction in 1926, this five-star hotel has been a favorite hideaway for many celebrities. However, a gangster named Fatty Walsh was murdered on the hotel’s 13th floor and is said to haunt the building to this day. The hotel was later transformed into a military hospital. For a time, Miami Medical University even used the building as a morgue. So, it is no surprise that every sort of paranormal activity occurs in this hotel – from lamps breaking to spirits wandering around wearing medical gowns.

This hotel opened in 1886, and since then, there have been several reports of alleged ghostly apparitions. In 2003, the hotel’s owners agreed to receive a team of paranormal investigators who detected more than twelve different spirits at the hotel.
